The stunning IWC Portugieser Automatic watch is one of the most successful models ever manufactured by IWC Schaffhausen. Its flawless design comprises a 42.3mm polished stainless steel case protecting the IWC-manufactured 52010-calibre. This expertly engineered heart Features pawls, automatic wheel and rotor bearing on the legendary Pellaton winding system all made from extremely wear-resistant ceramic. The two barrels also build up an impressive 7-day power reserve, which can be monitored by the power reserve indicator at 3 o’clock against a dramatic black dial. Thanks to a slimmed-down rotor, more of the mechanical engine is visibly available to admire through the sapphire-backed case. The hour track around the periphery of the dial is represented in classic Arabic numerals whilst the central hands taper to a fine point. To the left of the dial is a running seconds counter at 9 o’clock, balanced by the famous IWC Schaffhausen lettering and date aperture at 12 and 6 o’clock respectively. The entire surface of the dial is protected by a sapphire crystal glass lens, integrated with layers of anti reflective technology.
