The silver dial of this Santos de Cartier watch passes itself off as a sophisticated companion for the office, penetrated by crisp black Roman numerals around the hour track and a set of chunky central hands for legible time reading. The chronograph dials against a sun brushed silver backdrop add a sporty elegance to the wrist, whilst pilot-inspired Features are as relevant today as they ever were. The Santos de Cartier collection was originally created by Louis Cartier in 1904, who granted the wish of effortless timekeeping to Brazilian aviator Alberto Santos Dumont. Sealing the bond between Cartier and the aviation industry, this watch Features black steel sword-shaped hands with luminescent material, a 7-sided crown set with a faceted black synthetic spinel and a 43.3mm extra large steel case with ADLC coated bezel. The rubber strap can be changed over for a black “Gomma” alligator skin with a steel folding buckle, whilst an anti reflective sapphire crystal glass lens and a 100-meter water resistant case protects the dial from undesirable glare and scratching.
